RICHARD HAWLEY
Working alongside Glenfiddich's global PR agency P&S sourced, delivered and managed the talent and rights procurement for a campaign entitled the "Sound of Taste".
P&S furthered Glenfiddich’s association with the arts by engaging Richard Hawley to create some unique pieces of music inspired by the time-honoured art of whisky-making. By involving Richard on a creative level P&S were able to seamlessly align Glenfiddich’s history with Richard’s passion for tradition and craftsmanship To gain inspiration Richard spent time at Glenfiddich’s distillery in Dufftown, Scotland a place where little has changed since 1886, when founder William Grant and his nine children rolled up their sleeves to build the distillery with their bare hands.
The Duff Town Songs EP was recorded after this immersive visit and has since gone on to generate multiple positive PR pieces across Glenfiddich’s key indexing titles and beyond. The EP is available to download from the Glennfiddich website and Richard will be performing the songs at two exclusive events in London and Dufftown in December 2010.
